| Go ahead, have a piece of Fruit! by Nae24 (Grand Forks, ND) 4 Stars November 08, 2009 I assume, like most people, I was introduced to The Asteroids Galaxy Tour through an iPod commercial. After having the snippet of "Around The Bend" stuck in heavy rotation within my head for days on end, I decided I should check these guys out. However, at the time their album had yet to be released in the US. So I patiently waited, stalking the pages of Amazon.com until the CD finally made its debut. Well, color me pleased. I dig this album. The lead singer's voice is unique and the musical arrangements aren't your generic "Miley" beats.
Stand out tracks are as follows:
Lady Jesus
The Sun Ain't Shining No More
Push The Envelope
The Golden Age
Around The Bend
Bad Fever
Inner City Blues
Don't let the 4 star rating fool ya, it's hard to get a 5 out of 5 these days, especially in the music industry. This band is well worth your pocket change! Give um a shot, support a new artist.

| Sainthood by Tegan and Sara
Tegan and Sara's sixth studio album - Sainthood - addresses secular themes of devotion, delusion, and exemplary behavior in the pursuit of love andrelationships. Inspired by emotional longing and the quiet actions we hope may be noticed by the objects of our affection, Sainthood is about obsession with romantic ideals. In the service of relationships we practice being perfect. We practice our sainthood in the hope that we will be rewarded with adoration. As we are driven to become anything...

| XX by Xx
The Xx unique make-up is an inadvertent second nature marriage of 2009's urban/guitar tribes, in one corner fluttering new wave indebted reverberation, in the other, plumes of post-dubstep sub-bass and figuratively, their defining core of rich R&B vocal textures. The enveloping vocal partnership of Romy and Oliver is one that would've dropped-jaws in any decade this century, and set amidst a shivering soundscape of beats and plucks, their bedroom-reared concrete-soul is being justly heralded as...

| Lungs by Florence + the Machine
International pressing. 2009 debut album from the hotly tipped UK outfit fonted by Florence Welch. Lungs, produced by Paul Epworth, James Ford and Steve Mackay, is an intoxicating mix of delicate fragility, dark humor and twisted Tim Burton style fairy-tales. From the live favourite 'You've Got The Love' to the raw Blues-tinged 'Girl With One Eye' to the beautifully painful 'Between Two Lungs', the album is crammed with crowd pleasers. Also boasting fresh tracks like new single 'Rabbit Heart...

| What Will We Be (Limited Edition) by Devendra Banhart
What Will We Be has a sunny, breezy feel with performances that evoke warm, lazy afternoons spent with good friends. The album is dominated by powerfully melodic, mid-tempo numbers played with relaxed expertise. But there's also ambitious stylistic range displayed with the inclusion of evanescent ballads like 'Meet Me At the Lookout Point,' the epic riff-rocker 'Rats' sprightly R&B flavored groovers on 'Baby,' and the sultry Latin-flavored stunner 'Brindo,' the Roxy-inspired '16th & Valencia...
