Product Description
AMPS...if you've ever owned a GREAT amp, like a Marshall 18 watt, a VOX AC15, a Marshall JTM45 and if you have a place where you can crank them up loud, then you know what I'm talking about... Smack a power chord and you (not only) hear the fundamental notes...but you get (count 'em) 4, 5, even 6 additional overtones ringing into a feedback... notes that you can whistle if your ear is good enough! Think; Zep's "Ocean," "Custard Pie," Classic tones including James Gang, the Beatles, AC/DC, FREE., etc. Back off the guitar's volume and there are a dozen great other sounds at your fingertips... Clean, spanky sounds, with all the highs and lows still intact. And a Tele still sounds like a Tele, a Les Paul like a Les Paul. PEDALS (until now) just can't hold a candle to what a good amp can do if you are really picky. You not only lose all the touch sensitivity, but forget about those complex Harmonics. (For me) It's always been somewhat of a compromise using Overdrive pedals... until now. Ladies and Gentleman, Fulltone is proud to introduce the Fulltone OCD. Mike Fuller made this pedal for himself, but he thinks you might like it too.

Fulltone OCD by TheNewmaTrioDeal 5 Stars

I just got the OCD v1.4 and am very pleased with it. For a simple overdrive, it provides a surprising variety of tones and options. The dynamic range, which you can control with your picking strength and/or volume knob(s), is useful and keeps some of the subtleties of playing that you lose with a lot of compressed-sounding distortions. The clean gain boost also sounds great, and you can dial in as much or as little distortion as you want. With a few different configurations of the pots on the pedal and the pickups on your guitar, you can get close to any overdriven tone you want out of this thing. It really shines in the blues/rock region, though, giving a really warm sound that I was looking for. In all, it's a great pedal and is completely worth the money. I'd much rather have this than a tube screamer, etc.

Amazing tone and very amp-like response. by Derek A. Metz 5 Stars

Benefits: - Very amp-like tones - Various tonal options (LP: low peak = Tweed-like, HP: high peak = Marshall-like) - Very uncompressed gain (this was what I was seeking so I list it as a benefit.) and a lot of it - 9 - 18 volt usage (18 volts sounds smoother, less fizzy in both settings. 9 volt sounds great too, but LP setting leaves a little to be desired at the lower voltage. HP at 9 volts = very cool.) Drawback: - personally, none. - Very little compression (again, I like this but many may not. This sounds nothing like a Fulldrive 2 so steer clear if that's what your going for)

I absolutely love this pedal but good Lord Amazon this is literally $120 more than retail for it. I'm not knocking on the pedal or anything because it is honestly one of my favorites but go get it elsewhere for $160.

OCD one of the Best You Never Heard Of by Contributor (UK) 5 Stars

Love this box. Have/had MXR distort, digi Metal, ibanez Tubescreamer, Line 6 POD and to me the sound from OCD is better for many rock apps. The sound benefit is as hard to describe (but easy to love) - like a tube amp versus solid state - when you hear it - you know you need it - but its hard to explain in words whats distinct. I had huge doubts when my local guitar guy suggested it but one listen (and now owning it) I go past all the other named boxes and use this bad boy for a great variety of classic/heavy rock sounds. I use gibson LP, ESP kh2, ibanez JS, 70's Fender Strat and mesa 525 express with this/other boxes FYI.
