The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948. Paul Fisher was soon machining a new pen design shaped from solid aluminum. It became the first Fisher ball point pen, the #400 Bullet Pen, is arguably the most popular pen of the twentieth century. This pen is now all brass with a Translucent Lime Green finish.When closed, the Bullet Space Pen is the perfect size to carry in your wallet, pocket, purse, car glove box, organizer or toolbox. When open it's a full sized, evenly balanced writing instrument. The patented ink cartridge was designed by Paul Fisher for NASA in the 1960's enabling it to write in temperatures from -30 to +250 degrees Fahrenheit, under water, in zero gravity, at any angle, even upside down. |

As pens go, this is a simple pleasure and a simple treasure. Put the cap on and it's compact and sleek. I have one for my jeans, one for my car (it fits in the tiny ash tray alongside an little LED flashlight).
It writes reliably and smoothly.

This is a great pen. It writes very smooth. It's got a good weight and fits in my hand well. I only subtracted a star because it's a bit pricey for some folks. But if you in the market for a good keep in your pocket at all times pen this is it.

I already have the titanium-finish Fisher space pen in the bullet style, so I knew this would be a winner. They're nice and compact so I can have one in my handbag without worrying about it taking up a lot of space, and then I have this one on my desk. There was a bit of a smear when I first wrote with it, but it may have been sitting in a box for a long time. It's worked fine since then.

Nice blue chrome color, very pretty. The inside portion is the standard chrome insert. After riding around in my pocket for a few weeks, it's holding up well as far as scratches.

This is my first space pen. I love it. It writes great, and reliably even on difficult surfaces like sketching on wet cardboard beer coasters (A situation I find myself in from time to time).
If I did it again, I'd probably order one with a clip just to make it more accessible in pockets (it's small enough to lose in my briefcase from time to time).
