Awesome pen. by Avid Reader (USA) 5 Stars

The best pen ever! Never fails to deliver fine, consistent, and smooth flowing lines. This is my go-to pen for whatever writing I do... It's spoiled me for anything else!

Good But... by D. Schwemin (East Bridgewater, MA) 2 Stars

I think these pens are extremely smooth, and as a lefty, I am happy that they don't smear on the paper or to my hand. The colors are vibrant which is nice as well. But here are some of the drawbacks that make me question this pen... 1. Like most all of Uniball's products, they are WAY over-priced, ranging from almost $5.00 for a 2-pack of jetstreams at wal-mart, to just over $8.00 for a 3-pack of jetstreams or $11.00 for a 5-pack at my local Staples. And the price would be ok if the pen's materials were made of something justifying the price, but given what the pen is actually made of, (cheap plasic and embossed rubber) I don't think it's worth what they are asking. Come to think of it, I don't think there is a stitch of metal on the pen besides the cheap flimsy pocket clip (which I will get to in a moment). 2. Besides being so overpriced, this pen sports a horrible excuse for a pocket clip. They obviously used some sort of tiny piece of aluminum or some other easily bendable metal and just pancaked it to it's shape on the pen. If you pull on the clip, it will permanently bend out of shape, and if you press on the center of the clip, it permanently bows the clip in towards the pen barrel... Why would anyone do this you ask? Well as someone who works in a restaurant and often doesn't sport a shirt with pockets, I have to clip my pen to my jean's front pants pocket. And since the pocket clip of the pen is the only thing visible when the pen is clipped to my pocket, if I bump into something, the clip just bends and will then be permanently bent out of shape. And if your like me, trying to use a pen with a bent mangled clip will drive me nuts! The clip has no resistance to bending or even being able to withhold it's shape. It's like a piece of tin foil. 3. The pen writes pretty vibrant, but I've found for those that use cursive writing, when your doing looping motions with the pen, the pen usually skips and doesn't lay down ink at the bottom crest of your circular loops... Don't know why this is, but it prevents it from laying down a consistent "even" line. So points were duct for that. Over all, I guess if you can put up with those downfalls, then this pen is probably for you. If anyone has any comments please comment on this review, I will read it and am curious if anyone else has found these same problems with uniball.

Great for Lefties by S. Potter 5 Stars

The Jet Stream is the first pen I've come across which writes with ease, leaves a dark, sharp trail behind it, and does not ink stain my left hand. The ink, as advertised, dries almost instantaneously. Once dry it stays on the paper. It does not bleed into the yellow legal pads I use on a daily basis. The 1.0 mm ball size is excellent for all purpose writing. I do not like to feel resistance when I write. Grittiness, roughness, and having to apply even a slight bit of pressure are things I revile in a pen. Happily, this pen writes smoothly and effortlessly. I highly recommend this pen. To save some cash, skip the big office supply chains and buy your Jet Stream pens from amazon.

the bestest pens, worth every penny by J. Carroll (baltimore) 5 Stars

Like a dragon protecting his gold, I jealously defend my small hoard of Uniball Jetstreams. Although they are slightly more expensive than many similar-seeming pens, they are closest thing I have found to perfection among disposable-type pens: 1. Shape - comfortable and nonfatiguing, even for long writing sessions. 2. Smoothness - My job involves conducting oral interviews and taking written notes. When these interviews drag on, the writing effort a pen requires becomes critical. A ballpoint kills your hand, while gel and rollerball pens have too many other weaknesses. These are as smooth as the best gel pens, particularly in the 1.0mm size. 3. Quick drying ink - it dries very quickly, unlike most gel pens and ballpoints. 4. Water resistant ink - I've used these in the rain and on a fishing boat. Not as good as a pencil, of course, but still readable if it gets splashed, unlike a felt tip or rollerball. It writes on wet paper, too, better than a ballpoint. 5. Reasonably priced for their quality, which is good, because I lose pens like crazy. Like a few other seemingly overpriced everyday products--Gillette Fusion razor blades, for instance--Uniball Jetstreams are worth every penny.

The Jetstream series is the best. by Camille Mascarinas (New York, NY United States) 5 Stars

I can't get enough of this pen. Will never touch a Pilot G-2 pen again after this. I always hated them, but they were ubiquitous and good to write with for the moment. Jetstream ink is amazing, whatever it is. It appears to be gel ink, but it's not too dark and does not smudge: the ink sticks to the paper as you write, as opposed to simply lying on top of the page for several seconds waiting to dry, ie, Pilot G2. Common ballpoints do this as well, but they are not smooth/elegant to write with. I always carry a Jetstream with me wherever I go, so I will not ever have to use one those disgusting common pens again!
