I don't know about you, but I really hate all that plastic packaging they are using now. This is a great tool. I love it, I love it, I love it.
I now no longer hate the plastic packaging, and now look forward in getting something in it so I can use this knife. I no longer use those bad words as when I was mutliating the package when trying to open them in the past.
I think you too will be pleasantly surprised on how much fun it is opening those plastic packages.

My son now goes about telling folks "we have a surgeon at our house who takes care of things like that!" when he sees some one trying to cut open one of those plastic shells. We find that it really makes it much easier to open kids gifts (which seem to be cursed by an excess of that hard plastic casing), and it's nice not to have to worry that you're going to hurt yourself when you're opening up some little item you bought!

I tried the tool and cut my finger on the plastic after opening the package. It does not have a blade guard to prevent this. The guard they have is for the blade only. It also sticks open on occasion which seems to defeat the purpose.

This opener is a life saver! It does exactly what it is intended to do. Easily and Safely opens those annoying plastic packages. I can't wait until Christmas morning to really give it a workout. Thanks for a wonderful invention.
