| Adequate but not great by Justin Harris (Virginia) 3 Stars November 17, 2009 This is a very well built laser but not what I expected. The beam starts out really bright and then gets really dim. Over a few seconds it would go to its normal operating capacity. This warm up period was really annoying. When comparing it to a "cheap" laser I had bought previously, I realized it was actually brighter and did not have to go through this warm up period to work. I guess you pay for the ruggedness and not the efficiency of the product. I returned mine.
| | Laser Pointer Broke Within 3 Weeks by Mike B (Phoenix AZ) 1 Stars October 12, 2009 At first I thought this was pretty cool. After about 3 weeks it stopped working. I thought it was the battery so I bought a new one (not cheap). Laser still doesn't work.
| | Product came used..... by T. Surnock (California USA) 2 Stars October 12, 2009 The product came used. It wasn't sealed (like you would think an astronomy laser or product that could be a health hazard (eyes)would for child security), the battery was beyond low, and there was glue on the top of the product like there was a sticker attached before hand. I gave it 2 star's because the product would be great, just very disappointed it came to me used.... Please contact me via email and set up a possible exchange for a brand new product, like I paid for. Thank you, Thomas
| | Worked well for a couple of weeks by Ian Carpenter 3 Stars October 03, 2009 I've never owned a green laser but being that I was a kid once, I've hand many of the red ones. Green certainly is far brighter to the human eye and I can place an 8' dot on the side of a building that is over 2 miles from my home. The construction is great, of course it would be practically impossible to construct it poorly if you're machining it from solid aluminium. The problems with this can be summed up in three words, Made In China. The laser sprays a little more than normal up close, presumably from the cheap lens. After a couple of weeks the laser started to dim to the point that you can't see it from across the room. Once it was so dim that it oddly only emitted infra-red light. For those of you thinking "just change the batteries", well you can "recharge" the batteries by banging it around until the loose/corroded connections inside the crappy click switch meet up again. It would probably withstand being run over by a semi truck but it cant withstand day to day field use. I would pass on it if I had to buy another green laser and go for one I know is not Chinese quality.
| | Awesome Green Laser by Frank A. Locascio III 5 Stars August 06, 2009 This is a great piece of equipment. I say equipment because this is NOT a toy. Works perfectly and performs as i expected it to. One reviewer mentioned that it goes off by itself after 30 seconds which i found annoying but to my surprise mine does not. Grade A product! Would order again from instaspark!
