Product Description
Great for cats and dogs, this fully automatic pet feeder features a tough plastic base that holds a food reservoir for food "on demand." The electronic pet feeder's simple, programmable electronics prompt the feeder to dispense portions from 1/4 to 3 cups at three selected times per day. The unit can be set to meet scheduled feeding times and amounts when caretakers are away, but it is not meant to replace human care--please be sure someone still visits the pet daily. The unit's hopper holds 10 pounds of food and accommodates a full range of dry food sizes, shapes, and types. The feeding bowl is removable for easy cleaning. Required batteries, which are not included, sustain a long battery life of six months. One-year limited warranty. |

We had a problem with the counter registering a feeding but NOT dispensing the food, hence our dog lost weight over 3 days until we happened to be at home during a feeding. There is no safety system to alert you if no food is dispensed! There should be a senser that triggers the meal counter when food is dropped into the bowl and not tied to the motor dispenser. Poor design and dangerous!!
We also had a problem with larger food pellets lodging in the mechanism preventing food from dispensing/yet the motor would churn away and the meal counter would register a feeding! We then had to find the exact diameter of food best to use-but then it still stopped working!

Great product for scheduling feedings and convenient for multiple pets. The feeder has multiple (3) settings for food time distribution and food amount distribution. The product allows your pets to be feed on time and without inconvenience. The product has functioned for five (5) months without problem. Also easy to use. Overall the product is sturdy. The clear food storage container can break/crack if dropped or mishandled.

Bought this as our cat was on a diet. It only took two days before she figured it out and reached in and triggered the mechanism to release more food. Smart cat...dumb machine.

I LOVED this product... for a while. For the first year I owned this pet feeder, it worked wonderfully and provided me (finally) with uninterrupted sleep. Then, it stopped working. At first, I thought it was a bad battery, but after changing the batteries several times, checking and re-checking the timer settings (and dealing with a very unhappy, hungry kitty), I realized it was just plain broken.
Very disappointed that it lasted only one year.

This is really a great product. So much better than the older unit. So easy to program. Works very well. No problems to date. BTW, the 5 lb. (as apposed to the 10 lb) is plenty big for cats. I got the white units as for some reason they cost less than the black units. Really like the "feed now" button and the battery low indicator. The only thing I would like to see is the price to come down a little. The internet helped a little there. Saved about $20 each on 5 units.
