Designed by a robotics physicist who worked at NASA, the hulking Robosapien looks like a Star Wars stormtrooper on steroids, with a stark black and white body and massive shoulders and feet. Just press the black power button on its back, and it awakens with a yawn and an "Uh-huh." You control the robot using an elaborate, button-rich remote that looks as though it could run your home theater system. The Robosapien can perform more than 80 actions such as dance, burp, do a karate chop, give a high five, and listen for intruders, and its eyes light up red and blink whenever a command is received. It’s also equipped with touch sensors, and it stops when it bumps into walls. If you ever get sick of its act, simply press the Stop button to make it quit. The robot is highly flexible, with joints that go every which way, yet very solidly constructed. Four D batteries for the robot and three AAA batteries for the remote are required. I got robosapien on my 8th birthday,and it is so much fun!It can dance,karate chop,throw stuff,and more!His right arm isn't working very well,but after all demo,it works great!I LOVE this toy!!

I bought this toy for my 6 year old son as a Christmas gift. It was great fun while it worked. My son could easily program it and he was delighted with the different actions and noises that it made. However, after only 5 days of normal use, the toy would no longer work properly. It's leg would not return to its "start" position and so would not balance properly. Because it was unable to balance, it could no longer walk, turn, etc. without falling over. I contacted WowWee customer service for a replacement, as per their 90 day warranty; a month later, I am still trying to get them to honor the warranty. This is not a pleasant company to deal with. I would not recommend dealing with this company. In my experience, the cost of this toy is too high considering that it may no longer work in only a few days of play.

I bought my Robosapien directly from Wowwee. When it came, it did not appear new, it was a little dirty with marks all over it. And it did not work. It would not walk at all or do anything really but move its arms and burp and fart. What a bummer.

This is a very cool toy that is really fun to bring out at parties. You can make it dance, do tricks and even burp! It actually says excuse me too! It is a fantastic product, however, it does not keep the kids interested for more than a few months and soon becomes another dust covered paperweight.
