My daughter really enjoys this kit. It is a fun way to have your child practice reading, measuring, mixing and understanding a few science concepts. In my opinion anything that gets them thinking (especially something fun that smells good!) is a good thing. Your little girl will enjoy this kit!

First of all, I found that it was a pretty expensive product. I had never seen it anywhere (probably it is not sold abroad). Products seemed pretty disgusting: some stinky mud, cheap fragrances, very cheap plastic bottles that I don't think will preserve properly the cosmetics you make with the kit... I was very disappointed as I was emptied the box. I knew I wanted to throw it all right away but I made some mixtures with the ingredients before it just for fun. Obviously, I did not dare to put that on my face as it was so cheap. The product comes with a brochure with some beauty tricks and recipes to make that require you to use more ingredients that the ones coming in the box.
Very cheap and even messy for girls (mind they will be playing with oils and stuff that can be hard to clean).
Not to mention it is not educational at all... Forget about anything on Science in this product.

I bought this kit for my 7yo, and she and her 4yo sister enjoyed making soap & bath salts (we still haven't made the bath fizzes). It's a fun activity for a mom to do with her girls. That said, the kit of mostly valuable for the recipes. Most of the items in the kit (oatmeal, baking soda, citric acid, sea salt, rose petals) I already had at home, and the others (fragrances, 1 glycerin soap) I could buy at Michael's for far less money. But I'm not sorry I bought it as a first kit.

My niece has very little interest in science, but as scientists, it is something my husband and I try to encourage. This did exactly what we were hoping. It showed her that science is interesting. At first she had no interest in the kit, but after making her first spa fizz ball, she became very interested in how the spa things were made and loved using her creations.

This is a good concept, but it seems like more should be included in the kit. You can make a facial and some bath fizzy things...but not a whole lot else. However, the experiments it did come with worked.
