CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 6 reviews)
| Good family project by Charles P. Morrey (New Jersey) 4 Stars September 01, 2009 I bought this several months ago and helped four kids (ages 11, 9, 6, and 3) put it together. There was something that each of them could do and when it was finished they were all happy to have participated.
The toy walks faster than I expected (which makes it more fun). The kids have taken pretty good care of it but it has been dropped a few times and it still works just fine. It has been used many times for "show-and-tell" and gets a lot of attention because it is an uncommon toy.
I had no problems with shipping, ordering, etc.
| | Ideal for a child who would like a first robot - our son age 6 by L. Moyse (Seattle WA) 4 Stars August 06, 2009 Our son has just had his 6th birthday and he is all about robots. We spent a long time looking at other reviews. This was a good find. He sat down with his dad and made the robot and then set up an obstacle course and a slope for the duck to come down. They had a great time and this was a perfect starting point for our son, who would like to be an inventor when he grows up!
| | Quick to put it together by Katrina Wise (Baker City, OR USA) 5 Stars January 19, 2009 My 7 y/o son put this together with minimal verbal help from his aunt. It took him less than one hour. It was a good experience for him to do, but he doesn't love to play with it now. It IS very durable, because my 2 y/o son loves to play with it now that it's together! He has thrown it on the floor numerous times and it's still going! Must be on a hard surface to walk. Great toy!
| | Duck Walk by Auntie Mame (Greater Cincinnati) 4 Stars May 12, 2008 Cute beginning robot. Quick to build. Do not let it walk on carpet, though. When it gets stuck it will strip the gear, but gear is easily
replaceable. Would go better if back stabilizer rod had a little wheel
on it, then it would not get stuck in carpet.
| | cheap and easy by Kirk B (Colorado) 4 Stars December 29, 2007 I bought this robot kit for my son who is 5 and totally into the Robot scene. The kit was easy and fun for him to screw together. I was intrigued by the statement of walks like a duck, so couldn't wait to see how this thing actually propelled itself. It actually is kinda cool...No he wants me to build him Optimus Prime!!!!
