As a clown, I got this finger puppet because it's so easy to use. I could be talking about something else and pull my hand from behind my back and suddenly the spider puppet is there. The kids scream and tell me I have a spider on me. I look around (of course, in the wrong direction) but I don't see anything. The kids have great fun trying to help me find the spider. I asked one little girl to help me and then I let the spider "jump" on her and tickle her! It's such fun! I'll be ordering more. Thanks for a wonderful product!!

Here's a great little item for storytelling, family time, presentations, Halloween events, creative play, quiet play, etc. The product is soft, well-made---spooky, but not too scary. The legs seem sewn firmly into the body, which means they should stay on unless the product is intentionally handled roughly (pulled hard) and mistreated. (Note: your spider may differ slightly from the one that is photographed on this Amazon page; our spider's eyes were a little different and appear further apart. This is probably a feature of the puppet-making process...the uniqueness of each, individual item. :) No worries for us!)
The educational and entertainment value of a puppet, of course, rests with its users. So, to get the most out of this toy, one needs to invent spider tales and adventures OR read some established ones. For example, this clever finger puppet will delight children and other fans of the Anansi spider tales. Anansi is a lovable trickster from the folk tales of the Ashanti, a West African people from the country of Ghana. Being a trickster, Anansi is always up to something or is involved in adventures or mischief. With this mini puppet, children can act out the stories they learn about the spider, and storytellers can enhance their performances.
