The Planet Heroes line is fantastic for imaginative play, for critical thinking, and for light-hearted education / planet recognition. My three year old nephew loves the characters of the series, especially now that he has seen the DVD show about the team. Digger from Mars is great fun. He and his riding rover are kid friendly and easy to manipulate for small hands. Our product came with a little "rocket" launcher that shoots one kid-friendly missile that is just enough for action without being a safety problem or concern.
Digger can be removed from his rover and stand up independently. You just have to love those rocky toes! LOL He's an excellent little character--one of my favorite Martians! :) My nephew enjoys creating adventures with him, with the Saturn character, and with the Sun Commander.
Because of his size and build, Digger fits nicely into the space ship--an accessory that is purchased separately.
