This toy was picked out through the internet by my grandson (so that was a fun experience) but once it arrived his Mom knew it wouldn't last long since it's made out of steraform vs plastic - I think if we had been in a store I would most likely have moved the 8 year old over to a different air hog.

My son got this for his birthday. He owns the Wowee Dragonfly and the Air Hogs Reflex Helicopter. The Cyclone is the easiest for my son to control; he has a very difficult time with the others. In minutes, he was doing loops and twirls around our living room. Though I could tell by the joy in his face, I had to ask him which flying toy was his favorite. He said it's the Cyclone by a mile.
Like the other indoor flying toys, the Cyclone is made of lightweight Styrofoam. It's more indestructible than his helicopter, which has broken blades taped together; and it lasts lots longer on a charge than his Dragonfly, which lasts about 5 minutes. He can get a good 15 minutes of flying out of the cyclone before needing a recharge. It also does more stunts than anything and is a lot more fun to watch. If you have a choice between a the dragonfly and the helicopter or a Cyclone, get the Cyclone!

I bought this this morning at Marshall's for 25% MORE! I don't regret the purchase, I just regret not buying from Amazon....I should have known. So, I get it home, put it together for my son, and the plane takes off, straight up and hits the ceiling and doesn't do much. Second try yields better results, I got a couple of spirals. Third was not much better. After 5 minutes the battery died and I had to charge it again(you cannot expect a long charge with something so light). After it's charged I adjust the trim a little and things are better. There is still a bit of a learning curve, and if you have high ceilings you will be very pleased. Still, there is a bit of a learning curve. I like this much better than the helicopter.....oh, I should mention that I did let my son use it also. He is 5.5 and after a while got pretty good. Surprisingly enough, it has survived many 10 foot falls. This is a lot of fun, and I do recommend it, especially at this price!!!

I can fly this in my small living room. Very sturdy and slow flying. Can do vertical spins but hard to recover from those. Mine had a great price and was delivered quickly.
