I have had two of these in the past. The first one lasted for a few years but the second one only lasted about 6 months. They are supposed to make your head/scalp/hair healthier. I can't say for sure if it was successful in doing so but I'm going to assume that it did help my scalp/hair to be healthier. That's not helpful is it? Ok let me rephrase it. I do think that this brush made my hair and scalp healthier. Since I stopped using the last brush, I have noticed a difference in my hair having more split ends and being dryer than it used to be. That is one reason I am planning on buying another vibrating/massaging hair brush.
