I bought this for a "Grandma's house" toy. It was a big hit with my 3 1/2 year old grandson. His older brother enjoyed it for shorter periods but the little guy loved it.
There are no directions for assembly but even this non-mechanial Grandma got it together.
It's not quite as smooth as Penguin Race but works well.
