CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 3 reviews)
| The Perfect Toy for girls, boys, parents, students, homeless people, bartenders, air traffic controllers, JESUS BUY SOME ALREADY by Brian Jordan (Boston, MA USA) 5 Stars November 01, 2009 This, alongside the Sky Ball and possibly that pogo stick that is so effective it hurts people, is the greatest toy ever created.
* Bucky Balls find each other.
* You don't play with Bucky Balls... they play with you.
* Throw out the Bucky Balls' carrying case -- they can be bracelets for chrissake. Wear them with you!
* Bucky Balls pass the turing test.
* Good for painful fake earrings. Don't let them work their way into your ears. ENT specialists are expensive, esp. if you need an immediate appointment.
If I may echo Amazon's WARNING: These are small magnetic balls. Swallow two for a fun sensation. Three for pain, four for some more. Five if you're over being alive.
Best,
B
| | Sleeper Hit by C. Sakamoto 5 Stars July 28, 2009 I have a set myself that I received as a gift. At first glance they don't seem very impressive...it's a bunch of silver balls in a jar. But then you dump them out and try to pull one off. They are incredibly strong, one ball has enough magnetic energy to hold the rest of the clump.
You can separate them into strands, combine them into form. Since they are balls sometimes they roll and snap into unexpected configurations.
The previous reviewer is right about one thing, don't pay more than $24.99. That's what the price is multiple places on the net.
WARNING: Be carefull around electronics, they are powerful magnets that could damage your computer, tv, watches and other things. Each ball is very small, maybe 1/8 of an inch across and easily swalled individually or in small clumps. The package says not to play with them if you have a pacemaker. Oh and don't take them to work, you will find yourself playing with them instead of doing your reports (Or so I've heard, mine are at home).
| | The toy is great, this price is ridiculous by chris (New York, New York USA) 3 Stars June 24, 2009 This particular Amazon shop has got to be kidding. $37.99 + 4.99 shipping for Buckyballs? OMG, please. The actual product is awesome. Seriously, it's the most addictive thing on the planet, but the price is just dreadful. Get yourselves over to thinkgeek.com, where it's 24.99. There are also a mountain of ebay 24.99 dealers.
The one benefit I can see from Dallas_Texas_Media's stupid pricing is that I know never to buy from them because I figure they'll have bad deals all around.
