| Lord of the rings xbox game by Madeline Tufte 1 Stars August 24, 2009 [...].
The game itself is not fun at all, I expected it to be similar to the PS2 lord of the rings games.....not at all. Not worth the money.
| | Husband and son both enjoy by NH Mom (NH) 5 Stars June 14, 2009 Both avid gamers, they both enjoyed this game. When I buy a game and then either one plays every night and they talk strategy at dinner, I know it's one they really like.
| | Good vs evil by Stephen J. Smith (winter park, FL USA) 4 Stars November 29, 2008 This is a great game, at least for those that enjoy RTSs. (Real, Time, Strategies) This is also the first RTS any company did that didn't suck. The controls take some getting used to, but they actually work for the console. You get to choose from either the "good" campaign, or the "evil" campaign. Allowing for fun on either side of the spectrum. As far as the tactics goes, it's the usual have these troops, or these troops attack those points, but it is made a little more in depth with what the good people can do, and what the bad people can do. The good people are able to create walls, and equipment for those wall. I.e. trebuchets, archer towers etc... The bad people are able to make tunnels. Allowing them to more quickly go from point A to point B much faster then the good guys. Add in the "heroes" on each side, and the special "magic" each side has and you've got a game worth the price payed.
| | Great game Bad translation by Thomas W. Winther (Germany) 3 Stars October 01, 2008 I have played this game on the PC before i bought it for the XBox360, and i must say i am dissapointed at the translation from PC to console. the interface prior to starting the game is "whack", hard to tell which race or team you pick if you are not 100% into the LotR series i guess. only supports 4 teams on Console Versus 8 on PC which takes the epic battle you would expect to a lower level. the game is not bad at all, just dissappointed a bit at how easy they seemed to have made it on themselves to put it on consoles. tiny bit of lag when you first start the actual game but graphically exceptional quality. i would recommend this game if you have not played the PC version of it.
| | Best RTS for the XBox 360 by F. P. Winters (Boston, MA United States) 4 Stars September 27, 2008 This is a great RTS - and almost as good as the PC version. The battles look and sound really great in Hi-Def on the big screen.
