| All bad things are true but the game is fun by C. HERRERA (COLOMBIA) 4 Stars October 18, 2009 I agree with most bad reviews about graphics and so but I played the whole game and I enjoyed it quite a lot. I didnt find it scary though but the AI is unbelievable ! I would not give it 5 starts but definitely not 1, its a decent game and the price now makes it worth trying.
| | Fun! by Joshua D. Craven (Blue Bell, PA) 5 Stars October 17, 2009 I play a lot of first-person shooters, and, although this game's graphics don't compare well to newer same-generation-console games, this game is still tons of fun. Since that's why I play games, I gave this game 5 stars since it is as much fun or more fun than the others. It has a perfect feel to it, good enemy AI, and a really good balance between being too difficult and too easy. Fun!
| | Awesome and scary! by Jared Moses (Beaumont, Texas U.S.A.) 5 Stars June 26, 2009 This is an awesome game, and the fact that it is scary, makes it even better! When you play it in the dark, it gets even more scarier! The game is really fun, but, there are places that the graphics could be a little better, but, what are you going to do? The game was made a few years ago, and, they probably did their best with what they had. So, overall, it's a great game!
| | Great game, can't wait to play F.E.A.R. 2 by Wesley J. Landaker (Albuquerque, NM) 4 Stars May 19, 2009 This game is very fun to play, and is unique in being a very interesting mix of a sci-fi shooter and a spooky ghost story mystery. Unlike some "horror" genre games that throw zombies and gore at you everywhere, this game's scariness is most of the time more subtle and sophisticated, which is quite fun. Gameplay is excellent and the music and enemy AI is supurb.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that there are a few downsides. On the PS3 version, the graphics are downscaled, leaving some things in the HUD hard to read. Also, there are no subtitles, and the voiceovers aren't crisp, meaning I had to turn the voice volume WAY up and the other sound effects WAY down in order to hear what people were saying. The final disappointment is that the overall story is very interesting, but many of the characters are underdevelped and seem a bit dry.
All in all, though, the downsides are minor, and this game was a real thrill. Overall this is a very fun, unique shooter that I definitely would recommend.
| | Spooky! by Louis Russell Simonet (Kissimmee, Florida) 5 Stars April 27, 2009 At first it was a challemge to me, not being a gamer. After completing Far Cry2 two or three times, I started again. My basic skills had improve, and I tried the game again. I'm 41, but I can tell you it gave me chivers and goose bumps to the end ^^.
A great game, user friendly, greta scenario, great scenes, and great effects.
