My son would play this every day if I let him. by DeputyHeadmistress 5 Stars

For play, you need the basic Wii, the controller that usually comes with it, and you need to have the numchuck control (it holds the force and is how you change characters. You'll also use this for boxing games on the Wii). All the characters are from Lego mini figures, and the ships, levers, and buildings are made of legos, so none of the violence is remotely real- it's all done with toys.=) My son says: Every single Star Wars episode from 1 to 6 is represented. From episode one you can play an extremely simple game called negotiations, you go through corridors full of dangers, trying to survive multiple droids in order to get to a droid transportation ship to hi-jack. There are podraces. The last level for episode three is called Darth Vader, you're Darth Vader, first crossing a fragile floor, trying to avoid the lava below, fighting Anakim, and multiple droids. There's a hoth battle (from episode five), you're in Luke's ship and you have to bomb your way through multiple doors and avoid the spydroids. Wii is more fun than game cube because in levels like the podrace you can actually know what you're doing and be going extremely fast. This game works better when you use the controls on the Wii remote, pressing the buttons gives you more control over your moves than swinging. For instance, you press A two times you'll double jump in the air. If you press B in midair, then you'll be kneeling in the air on the way down and can destroy almost anything. You can react faster with the Wii games than with game cube, too. I like it because, unlike other computer games, my son mostly plays it standing up and moving around.

Lego Star Wars delivers hours of entertainment. Our kids were instantly sucked into this cult classic and we had to allot them certain hours to play it on weekends. How can you beat the combination of Star Wars and Leggo? So much fun. Believe it or not, I play it to unwind and escape.

This is a great game providing hours of fun. by A.L. (CT U.S.A.) 4 Stars

My 7 year old son bought this game with birthday money. He really loves it. The only thing is he sometimes gets stuck as they make it very hard.

My Asperger's Boy LOVES This Game and his brothers too! by Eva (ny) 5 Stars

My son who is 5 with aspergers syndrome LOVES this game. He is completely obsessed with star wars, so the love of the game is a given for him. His brothers ages 7 and 14 love it as well. I purchased this game almost a year ago and it is still going strong! Highly recommended!

The first one our kids reach for . . . a surefire way of getting chores done! by Jennifer L. Hanson (Tulsa, OK) 5 Stars

Having LOVED Lego Star Wars on the Nintendo Game Cube, our kids were determined to get the Wii version when we upgraded our system. To be truthful, I thought it might be a waste of money (since we were able to play all of our old Gamecube games on the Wii), but they insisted and finally tipped the scale in their favor when they pooled their money and offered to buy it themselves. Thinking this would be a "sad but valuable" lesson in learning to take advice from their parents, we conceded and allowed the purchase. I am HAPPY to report that my husband and I were actually the ones who ended up learning something! This Wii game is so much MORE than the installment we had. The added "bonuses" keep my kids active and entertained, and the Wii complements the different personalities of both of my kids (I have one who likes to search out every "nook and cranny" and takes FOREVER to get through a game, the other rushes to the finish line, ignoring everything else on the way). No matter the approach to gaming, the Lego Star Wars accommodates. As far as the chores mentioned in the tag line? It's been nigh on miraculous. When the kids get in the car after school, invariably one or the other says, "Can we play Star Wars when we get home?" My answer? "Sure, guys! Just as soon as you finish your homework and chores!". The work gets done, the kids play, and I get a little peace and quiet in my afternoon (if you don't count the hum of light sabers and blaster bolts).
