EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description The Wii Wheel transforms the Wii Remote controller into a steering wheel that feels natural in anyone's hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller offer a classic control style for the Mario Kart veteran. In either configuration, players can perform speed-boosting tricks with a shake of the Wii Remote. |

| Wii Wheel - Not the most useful by L. V. Sampath (Richardson, TX) 3 Stars November 17, 2009 This is kinda helpful if you really need the Wheel feel in your hands. Otherwise, you can just do better with the remote itself. The sleeve has to be removed before you can fit the remote in here, and then you need to start using it pretty much like you'd use only the remote. So, I don't think this was a good buy.
| | Grandma by Grandma V (Nevada) 5 Stars October 28, 2009 I purchased this for grandchildren and they have really enjoyed it. We got the game (grandpa and grandma) before 3 of our 8 grandchildren visited. They all enjoyed it so much, their parents too, that I bought them the game for home. I then sent one to our other grandchildren. They all loved it. The kids range in age from 19 down to 3. The parents have as much fun as the kids and so do grandpa and grandma.....They all already had the Wii.
| | just ok by Fred Swanson 3 Stars September 29, 2009 I got Mario Kart for my Nintendo Wii and this came with it. Thought it would be a lot of fun and add to the experience, but I found it a little awkward. It's not that it was difficult to use or anything like that, but using a steering wheel not attached to something is different from anything I have ever done and I was unable to get used to it.
Some people love it and there are many "Wheel Only" Mario Kart games, which make it handy to keep around. I don't use it most of the time though.
| | Surprisingly useful by Nick S. (Hyde Park, NY United States) 5 Stars August 29, 2009 The Wii Wheel, although just a piece of plastic in the shape of a steering wheel, is surprisingly useful when playing Mario Kart Wii. At first I thought it was a waste of money, but after trying to play the game without it (just holding the controller sideways), I quickly realized that it's worth the money for the ease of use it brings. Since most of the time there's only 1 or 2 people playing, one additional Wii wheel is probably fine, but I probably wouldn't buy 2 additional to have a set of 4.
| | Goofy But Fun by Elisadel (USA) 5 Stars August 21, 2009 The important thing to know is that the wheel really doesn't allow you to do anything you can't do otherwise. You don't have to buy one to play the games. It's just a holder that sets the wiimote in a shape that makes it feel a little more like you're actually driving a car.
You can still hit the B-button through a button that's on the underside of the wheel. You can also still use the wiimote's pointer function as needed (there's a hole in the wheel at the appropriate place to let the signal through).
It feels decently good in your hands. It's a little on the small side, but if they'd made it bigger it'd probably have been a little on the heavy side instead, so it's fine.
If you don't like this kind of little prop, feel free to skip it. There won't be any harm done to your ability to play. If do, then enjoy. It does its job well.
