When I first bought it, it was a little loud, but with the surround sound on you couldn't tell... unless there was a quiet part in a movie. Less than a year later, getting a terrible grinding sound. Makes it almost unbearable.

I got this intercooler because i had the yellow-light of death problem. The cooling feature of the fan really works well. If you play really fast paced games like Call of Duty, your PS3 will get very hot without the aide of this fan. Depending on how close your PS3 is to you when you play, you may want to look for something different. I sit probably 3-4 feet from my ps3, and the noise doesn't bother me when im playing a game. When im watching a movie, i will turn it to the lowest fan speed, so i won't hear it. Pros - Looks sweet, cools the system, adjustable Cons - Will be too loud for someone sitting very close to PS3.

I tried this product for a couple months on my ps3 and I think this product, just like any other intercooler is not good for the ps3 for a couple of reasons.For starters it is really loud. And the biggest problem to me is the electric fans which sucks in air into the ps3,not only air but airborn dust is also sucked into the ps3 only to clog up the ventilation holes and causing the insides to become dusty.My advice is to not spend the money on this or any other intercooler product just for the sake of your ps3 life span.If your ps3 gets hot, dont set it in an inclosed area, let it set out in the open.

This item made my ps3 worse than before I bought it. It actully gets hot itself and just circulates even hotter air through the ps3. After speaking with people from my local video game store I learned that some people had brought their systems into the store with the intercooler melted onto the ps3. The best solution for overheating is to make sure your ps3 is not enclosed in an entertainment center and to keep it clean of by blowing it out with compressed air every so often.

It seems to work pretty well, but its just too loud. It's so loud sometimes that i cant really hear my tv over it. Pay a little more to get a quiet one its worth it.
