The Pulsar Story
Pulsar by Seiko Holdings Corporation. A spectacular breakthrough Pulsar was born in an age of optimism. And throughout the '80's and 90's Pulsar continued to bring to market new products that were born to be different. The Avant-garde collection in 1980's set a new style in women's watches and Spoon in 1990's were unique designs which further cemented Pulsar's image as an ingenious and surprising watchmaker. This rating is based on price paid and purchase price. This Pulsar piece has all that I was wanting including, analogue dial, digital reading, alarm, stop watch, silver/stainless steel and water resistant. The size is neighter too bulky nor skimpy, but just the right fit -- full and very presentable. I paid a fraction of the retail price and wear it proudly daily to work and about. Yes! I would recommend.

This is a super watch. It looks great. It has the functions that I was looking for (analog time with simultaneous digital day of the week, day of the month, month and year) along with other functions. The band is very flexible and comfortable, with easy on/off via two side buttons on the clasp. Combine all that with a stainless steel case and band (no more plating wear through) and you have a real winner! The only minor drawback is the relatively large size and heavy weight.

Like many multi-function watches with both analog & digital readouts, the analog hands can get in the way of the digital screens- making said screen[s] useless. Plus this particular unit had a defective crown on it.

Its a nice watch. I wanted this type: analog with digital. It looks nice on my wrist. It weighs heavy - so it feels sturdy. It looks classy. The only problems are when the 'hour hand' covers up the digital part. Or when the 'minute hand' covers up the date. Other than that I recommend it.
