ASTP Lustrum Conference, Budapest 26-28th of May 2004
January 22, 2004The Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP) is organising its fifth Annual Conference on 'Best Practices in Transfer Of Science and Technology' on (Wednesday the 26th), Thursday the 27th and Friday the 28th of May 2004 at Hotel Margitsziget, Budapest, Hungary.
Plenary sessions led by expert speakers from Europe as well as the US will cover a wide range of subjects. This will be our first Lustrum, therefore we have invited the most appreciated speakers of our conferences of the last four years.
The following key themes will be discussed:
- Introductory Course on Licensing
A special Introductory Course for those who have recently start their profession as a TTO
- Licensing- Creative business-to-business models: Valuation and consideration in license agreements in business to business deals
- Start-Ups- Early Stage Funding- Bridging the management gap- Valuation and structuring considerations- Pitfalls in shareholder agreements- What to do when things go awry

Preceding the conference ASTP offers an optional social program on Wednesday afternoon with a visit to a Technology Transfer Related Institution combined with a guided tour among the highlights of Budapest.
The event will attract around 150 people related to technology transfer within Europe and overseas.
