The Sun Flooded EuropeOctober 25, 2002It will be easy to predict typhoon appearance if you know where it arises. One of the cyclone forming regions is the northern part of the Mediterranean along the French and Italian coast. Most of last summer cyclones came from there and flooded many European countries and Southern Russia, and even snowed heavily in Austria and in the north of Italy. "There is no reliable forecast on storm rainfall even for two weeks. The mechanism of this event is not quite clear yet. I suggest a hypothesis, which is based on our findings" - says Pudov. In June 2002 there had been strong perturbation of geomagnetic field, in fact, the strongest for over a hundred years. It was preceded by extremely high solar activity. The Earth`s magnetic field is too weak to influence the climate directly, but it is affected through water and clouds. Ocean water is a good conductor, therefore, when moving in geomagnetic field, it receives electrical charge, producing huge tellurics - up to several thousand amperes. As a result, electrical forces help water molecules to get away from the surface into the air. When the electrization is rather strong, as it was last summer, large water masses can evaporate. Clouds also play a big role. The oceans surface and clouds are a sort of a "condenser" with oppositely charged "plates". Charged water splashes are drawn up, increasing humidity and electrical charge of the clouds. The water accumulation in the clouds continues until a discharge between the "plates" happens. When the electrical charge of the "condenser" is large, for example, because of strong geomagnetic flashes, the clouds are very wet, so cyclones start forming. A cyclone moves huge humid masses and pours them at those places, where temperature difference is quite high. It seems that this event happened last summer above the Europe. Such explanation also sheds light upon the mechanism of typhoon forming. For a long time the scientists could not understand why there is so much water in a typhoon. If it increased only by evaporation from the surface, then during condensing it would release a huge amount of heat, sufficient for raising troposphere temperature to incredible values. However, that doesn`t happen, so there is another water source for typhoon. Pudov believes that electromagnetic effects, which cause water particles to move up to the clouds, could also be such a source. Informnauka (Informscience) Agency |
