Yesterday, new photos from Paranal were published about the
arrival of the second 8.2-m mirror and its cell, later to be
attached to the second VLT Unit Telescope (UT2). Please look at URL:

the third VLT Unit Telescope (UT3) was installed on
the floor of the third enclosure. It is the biggest lift
of the assembly process and along with the centerpiece,
the most difficult. It went very smoothly - practice from the
assembly of UT1 and UT2 makes perfect!
