Media Invite: Spinal Research Centre Open Day 7th July
July 05, 2004Director of the Spinal Research Centre, Professor Michael Craggs, is hosting an open day of the Spinal Research Centre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.
The research strategy of the SRC is based upon a number of key research programmes, which cover all aspects of the needs of patients with dysfunction of the spine or spinal cord. This clinical research involving science, engineering and technology is then 'translated' into everyday applications aimed directly at improving patient treatment and to ultimately improve the lives of those with spinal cord injuries.
The open day will be attended by an array of distinguished guests including academics from a number universities and teaching hospitals and will be open to the public and patients served by the RNOH NHS Trust.
The day will offer the opportunity to meet and talk with members of the SRC team about their work and also with some of the patients who have participated in the various research programmes(see http://www.spinalresearchcentre.org.uk)
This event will be help on Wednesday 7th July 2004 11am-3pm at the Spinal Injuries Unit, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA7 4LP
