Subsequent events from trails of antidepressants in children and adolescents have substantiated Healy's hypotheses and have lead to the banning of these drugs in countries such as the UK. But the controversy continues. In the same Journal Patricia Casey (University College, Dublin) charges David Healy of unfair and instrumental citations of the literature. Healy replies. The Editor of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics and Psychosomatics, Giovanni A. Fava (University of Bologna) declares " We are proud we started a debate, one year ago, that had been censored by other journals. After a rigorous process, we published Healy's paper, but also a number of very critical contributions, such as the ones in the last issue of the journal. It is important to debate about these issues, in order to identify the subgroups of patients who may be at risk for these events.
