Breast cancer is multi-step, multi-cell type process
Researchers at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center are offering one of the first models of breast cncer as a multi-step process which involves more than one cell type, thanks in part to new laser-microdissection technology which enables them to take apart tumors one cell at a time.

Growth factor stimulation leads to increase in new neurons in the brain
Emory University researchers have demonstrated that several regions of the adult rat brain have the capacity to acquire new neurons following the introduction of a growth factor into the brain's lateral ventricle, located in the depths of the cerebral cortex.
