'Ant-like' bees among new desert species identified by Utah State University entomologist
In 'Zootaxa,' Utah State University entomologist Zach Portman and colleagues report nine, newly identified species of the desert bee genus Perdita, including two species with 'ant-like' males completely different in appearance from their mates.
