Stevens and Nanyang Technological University sign MOI

HOBOKEN, N.J. -- Stevens Institute of Technology and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), in Singapore, signed a Memorandum of Intent on November 30. The MOI serves to affirm the establishment of a cooperative agreement between NTU and Stevens to leverage the strengths of both institutions towards the betterment of Systems and Enterprise Engineering, Architecting, and Management through research, graduate education, conferences and executive education.

Dr. Harold J. Raveche, President of Stevens, and Dr. Su Guaning, President of NTU, signed the collaboration agreement between the two universities at a lavish ceremony on the grounds of the NTU campus in Singapore. Dr. Dinesh Verma, Dean of Stevens' School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens, and Dr. Lam Khin Yong, Chair of the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NTU, witnessed the signing of the agreement. Dr. Kathy Hegmann, a member of Stevens' Board of Trustees and the IBM Integration Executive for India, was also present at the signing ceremony, attended by more than 200 people.

Nanyang Technological University is a research-intensive university with globally acknowledged strengths in science and engineering. Through its 12 schools organized under a four-college structure, and two autonomous entities, the National Institute of Education and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, NTU provides a high-quality global education to more than 19,100 undergraduates and 8,600 graduate students.

The schools plan to collaborate in the following areas: As part of the agreement, Stevens and NTU also plan to collaborate in the areas of professional development and the development of a collaborative and networked systems engineering community in the Asia Pacific region.
