13 new technologies in computer graphics and interactive techniques showcased by Singapore's A*STAR

A total of 13 new technologies in computer graphics and interactive techniques, including 3D graphics and animation, intuitive human-computer interaction technologies and neural signal processing, will be introduced by Singapore's A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) at Asia's version of the world's largest and most prestigious computer graphics show, SIGGRAPH (Special Interest Group on GRAPHics and Interactive Techniques).

At the A*STAR exhibit, Dec. 11 to 13, at the SIGGRAPH conference, which will be held in Singapore, these technologies will be available for licensing: These technologies were developed by A*STAR research institutes including the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Data Storage Institute (DSI), Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) and Singapore Bioimaging Consortium (SBIC).

A*STAR's Exploit Technologies is responsible for the licensing. Also at the A*STAR exhibit at the conference, two companies that are working with Exploit Technologies will be showcasing their product offerings, built with technologies created by A*STAR.

Estimated business revenue to be generated by licensees from sales of products and provision of services using or incorporating A*STAR's technologies is projected to be over $500M (Singapore dollars).
