A new study found that adenotonsillectomy, a surgical procedure for enlarged tonsils and adenoids, significantly reduces medical office visits and prescription medicine use in children with mild sleep-disordered breathing. The surgery was associated with a 32% reduction in healthcare encounters and a 48% reduction in prescriptions.
