A European modeling study shows that coordinated lockdown strategies can prevent resurgent COVID-19 outbreaks. The study found that synchronized cycles of interventions led to local elimination of COVID-19 cases in 90% of simulations, while unsynchronized cycles only achieved this 5% of the time.
