Researchers at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis have built a dataset of global migration flows from 1990 to 2023, revealing a true per-capita increase in human mobility. The dataset shows that migration has become more common overall since 2000, with dips only during the financial crisis and Covid-19 pandemic.
