Scientists have overcome multimerization issues by constructing single-copy artificial human chromosomes (HACs) in budding yeast and transferring them into human cells. The newly formed HACs maintain as single-copy molecules, enabling larger DNA structures, potentially advancing genome editing in humans and other organisms.
