A new study finds that a type of fungus can cut the soybean cyst nematode's reproductive success by more than half, reducing yield losses of over $1 billion annually. The fungus, Funneliformis mosseae, reduces nematode egg hatching and juvenile nematode populations, making it a potential tool for controlling the pest.
