Researchers discovered that taurine levels decline with age and supplementation can increase lifespan in mice by up to 12% and extend healthy lifespans of middle-aged mice. Taurine also improved health parameters in mice, including weight gain suppression, increased energy expenditure, and enhanced immune function.
