A recent study using ancient genomics and Indigenous knowledge has shed new light on the decline of the Coast Salish 'woolly dog,' an extinct breed with a unique woolly coat. The research, led by Audrey Lin, found that these dogs maintained their genetic integrity despite European colonization.
