MDC researchers and clinicians identify mediator of blood pressure regulation in the liver
Scientists have discovered a new group of sensory neurons in the mouse liver that mediate blood pressure regulation and metabolism. Drinking water triggers an elevation in blood pressure in sick and elderly people, and this effect is mediated by the TRPV4 ion channel.
