3-D Imaging May Cut Unnecessary Breast Biopsies

The technique correctly ruled out a diagnosis of cancer in 18 of 30 women whose suspicious mammograms were later shown to be benign. Additionally, none of the 14 cancers in the group were misdiagnosed by the 3D imaging method.
