Negative stereotypes about aging may shorten your life by affecting will to live

A study of 660 participants aged 50 and older found that negative stereotypes about aging can decrease life expectancy, while positive self-perceptions can increase it. Positive attitudes towards aging are associated with a higher will to live and lower cardiovascular response to stress.
