What The Study Did: Prediabetes among U.S. youths increased significantly over the last couple decades, from 11.6 percent in 1999-2002 to 28.2 percent in 2015-2018, according to the results of this survey study that included nearly 6,600 children and teens ages 12 to 19.

Authors: Junxiu Liu, Ph.D., of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, is the corresponding author.
