Chang Studying Explainable & Transparent Machine Learning For Autonomous Decision Making (EXTRA)
Kuo-Chu Chang, Professor, Systems Engineering and Operations Research (SEOR), received funding for the project: "Explainable and Transparent Machine Learning for Autonomous Decision-Making (EXTRA)."
Ran Ji, Assistant Professor, SEOR, and Hadi El-Amine, Assistant Professor, SEOR, are Co-Principal Investigators on this project.
For this project, Mason researchers will support Intelligent Fusion Technology, Inc., by conducting research and developing and evaluating proposed methodologies. In particular, they will help IFT develop a framework and an operational concept for Explainable and Transparent Machine Learning for Autonomous Decision-Making systems.
Chang received $280,000 from Intelligent Fusion Technology, Inc., on a subaward from the U.S. Department of the Air Force for this project. Funding began in January 2022 and will end in July 2023.
