Ever feel like nobody’s listening? Now’s your chance to make an impact and get your knowledge in front of decision makers.
Applied Microbiology International is offering a free webinar - part of the Sustainable Microbiology Policy Spotlight journal webinar series - that will explore how microbiologists can most effectively influence policy in the UK, with insights that apply to the international policymaking context.
Chaired by the journal’s Policy Editor, Prof. David Oliver, the webinar on April 1 will feature an overview of a Policy in Practice publication, as well as insights from senior policymakers and parliamentary affairs professionals.
As well as Professor David Oliver, who is Professor of Catchment Science, University of Stirling, we will be hearing from a great line-up of speakers, including: Paul-Enguerrand Fady, Biosecurity Policy Manager, Centre for Long Term Resilience (CLTR); Professor Nicola Spence, The UK Chief Health Plant Officer, Defra; and Chris Brown, Parliamentary Affairs Lead, UK Research and Innovation.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to our expert speakers during the live event . You can also submit questions in advance by emailing them to: policy@appliedmicrobiology.org .
The webinar will also be recorded and available retrospectively.
