A study of 270 eighth graders in the Chicago area found that students of color who attended schools that emphasized the value of ethnic and racial diversity had better cardiovascular health compared with peers whose schools did not emphasize diversity; the findings suggest links between school diversity and health benefits for students of color, according to the authors.
