A study of the chemical composition of meteorites that formed in the outer Solar System finds that they contain a mix of materials from the outer and inner Solar System along with unidentified components, suggesting that transport of material from the inner to the outer Solar System may have been stopped by the formation of Jupiter, which could have trapped inner Solar System dust that accreted into meteorites.
