In a meta-analysis of 22 studies of group performance that included 5,279 individuals, researchers found that individual skill, group gender composition, and group collaboration were all predictors of collective intelligence; furthermore, the proportion of women in a group was positively correlated with social perceptiveness and collective intelligence, and the findings suggest that collective intelligence in groups can be quantified, according to the authors.
