Alpaslan Özerdem, Dean, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, received funding from the U.S. Department of State for: "US-UK Peace Labs Action for Sustainable Social Cohesion."
Three Carter School faculty members are involved in development and organization of Peace Labs (collaborative groups of faculty and students working on specific research and practice agenda), community engagement, curricula development, and teaching courses relevant to the project:
1. Alpaslan Özerdem, Dean, leading the Carter School Peace Labs initiative
2. Karina Korostelina, Professor, Director, Reconciling Conflicts and Intergroup Divisions Peace Lab
3. Jeff Helsing, Director, Better Evidence Project
Özerdem received $47,602 from the U.S. Department of State for this project. Funding began in Aug. 2023 and will end in Sept. 2024.
