A survey of 1,263 people, conducted in 2 waves around 7 months apart, finds that discussion of global warming issues with friends and family leads people to learn key facts about the scientific agreement on global warming, influencing their beliefs on the issue, and that learning about the scientific agreement leads to increased climate discussion; the results suggest that climate-related conversations can create a climate-friendly social feedback loop, according to the authors.
