Significant improvements in disease free survival reported in women with breast cancer
The CALGB 9741 study found significant improvements in disease-free survival and overall survival for women with axillary node-positive operable breast cancer treated with dose-dense chemotherapy regimens. The study showed a 26% proportional reduction in risk of recurrence and improved quality of life with dose-dense therapy.
